HOMEROOM: Due to the field trip last week, we do not have enough data to send home the Feedback and Data Binders today. Students do have Math and Literacy homework. Be sure to check out the Homework page for more information.
MATH: Today we continued our study of landmarks - not geographical landmarks like the Statue of Liberty. We are studying numerical landmarks. If you would like to engage your child in a conservation about their school day ask them to tell you some of the numerical landmarks we worked on. They should be able to tell you the following:
- Maximum - the largest number found in a set of data.
- Minimum - the smallest number found in a set of data.
- Mode - the most common number found in a set of data (It is found the MOst.)
- Range - the difference between the maximum and minimum. (Maximum - Minimum = Range)
- Median - the number occurring in the middle of the set of data.
